My dad started me at age 7 using his Canon F-1, which I used until I was 12 and had to get a Pentax K-1 for a formal class. I built my own darkroom out of a seldom-used closet when I was in high school and didn't switch to digital until mid-2000s. I've used mostly Canons until I shelved my 5D for a Sony A7R a few years back. I've shot all over the U.S., as well as in Central America, South America, and Africa. I prefer shooting nudes in places a person wouldn't necessarily expect nudity--work, nature, and public places. I shoot primarily in hopes of capturing an image that is mentally or emotionally evocative, and secondarily in hopes that my images will provoke similar responses in others.
