Thanks for your comment. The lighting came from my patio sliding glass door with a semi-translucent shower curtain as a diffuser (and for privacy).

There's only a short window of opportunity (no pun intended) when the sun is just right.

Note that I have a studio in my apartment where I can achieve a variety of lighting effects.

I hope that explains the technique used to capture this photo. Otherwise, I use magic.
