This is the initial plaster cast of a life-size sculpture commissioned by the UK National Health Service. In the final bronze cast the feet of the figure dip into a pool of water and the model gazes at her own reflection. It was rejected by the Board of Trustees on the grounds that you cannot have a nude figure in a hospital setting!
