about Lightcatcher
Male
My photography involvement began in the mid 60's, initially shooting portraits and the occasional wedding. During my last two years in collage, I was the primary yearbook photographer for special events and sports. After graduating and moving to a much larger city, I teamed up with another photographer and for the next few years did commercial photography. During that time, I shot everything from the covers for panty hose packages to oil filters for diesel locomotives including two national ad campaigns for an auto parts supplier and a national restaurant chain.
In the mid 70's, I added nature photography to my list and have done lots of wildlife and scenic photography. That's when I became part of a team who helps put on the Nature Photography Weekend and the Camera Clinic at Grandfather Mountain. It's always great to see old friends and meet new ones on the mountain.
Currently, I'm concentrating on intimate portraiture and building my portfolio.
