I am a photography who believes that the challenges life gives to each of us becomes an integrated part of our being which can be seen when one truly looks beneath the surface of the facade that we show the world on a typical day. To truly see someone for who they are takes time and investigation. Looking through the lens and capturing images is one method that can lead to some very interesting findings.

I have experience many roles throughout my life: mother, wife, child, sister, paramedic, river guide, Antarctic dweller, Ironman, friend, nurse practitioner, hiker, rock climber, model, cardiac patient and entrepreneur. The one constant no matter what role I have been in has been photography. Sometimes it has been used to document important moments in my families life, other times it has been used to document an event
such as an auto accident so medical providers can understand what the person went through, other times photography opens up other areas of my mind and sole so that I can understand my own resilience.

The human body can be hidden so easily beneath clothing, objects and others. Removing these barriers can build a connection between the photographer and model so that the inner beauty or turmoil of person shows in the image created. It is these types of images I strive to make.
