Born in 1942 in Geneva. Lives and works in his workshop in Borex, Switzerland.
From an early age, he sought his own form of artistic expression, which he discovered through the lens of a camera received as a gift for his 15th birthday. Photography becomes his language and his passion. With extreme precision, he captures the essentials and the beauty of a character or a landscape.
The nude has long fascinated him. Over the years, his mastery of light has sharpened. His models, women and men of all ages and from all walks of life, captured by his lens, become living sculptures in black and white, approaching perfection. Cyril Torrent made the photographer a sculptor of light.
