I am drawn to this image because of the multisensory impact and response it triggers in my nervous system. I feel / hear a guttural expulsion of air from the chest / throat, somewhere between a sigh, grunt or moan. It corresponds with a sensation of both longing and release. I notice the theme of the arched back/neck is prominent in your work, and this is something I would like to play with in our collaboration. You also depict from multiple angles the "dramaturgy of the ribcage", as I am going to call it. It may appear a simple thing, the ribcage. But in the way it is portrayed is a whole "chest" of meanings: it is symbolic in some regards of humanity's cage of survival mode created by rigid linear beliefs; at the same time it is a sculpture of refined elegance: the ornate cage in which the bird sings as it looks out the window of eternity. The hollow cavern of the ribcage is the resonance chamber of the guttural emission that I sense.
