I know what you mean, I usually go with a 28-80 on my Canon, but not while I do headshots, usually take out my 50 mm

I really just saw the position, rhen just had to find a way to capture it! A slightly wider or zoom lens might have helped...😁

Thanks 😁 I've found that sticking to one or two prime lenses that I know well has helped me artistically and technically. My favorite for this work is the 45mm Tamrom f/1.8. Very sharp, very close focusing, image stabilization and auto focus. It does however have some distortion, making it not great for headshots.
