Although he does travel to various places from time to time, Vernon is normally located in North Georgia, USA, providing quality, portrait, event, wildlife, and landscape photography services. He is a simple man who loves spending time with his wife of more than 30 years and his family. Always somewhat artistic in his youth, drawing, painting etc., his passion for photography was ignited when, just before his freshman year in high school, his father gave him an old Konica 35mm camera and a couple of telephoto lenses. Although it was put on hold for a few years while he served in the US Marines as a KC-130 technician, aircrew member, and instructor, Vernon has never lost the love of photography.

“If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right, the first time,” his father would say. As an emerging, award winning photographer, Vernon has never forgotten this and applies it, along with his life experiences and lessons learned, to everything he does.

​Not being much of a writer, photography has become his medium for capturing and expressing those precious moments in time. When not talking about myself in the third person and agonizing over what to say, I enjoy hiking, camping, biking, reading, traditional archery and, well, just about anything involving the outdoors. I especially enjoy assignments where I have the opportunity to travel.
