My primary motivation is to create beautiful FILM monochrome images of naked models in natural landscapes on Medium Format. However in parallel I shoot digitally, ensuring that models have access to the images quickly. I like to shoot in bright sunshine, as this gives the image a positive utopic energy; I want my images to look idyllic. Gracefully posed on erosion sculptured rock; I want to resonate and reinforce the beauty of the surroundings with that of the model. I seek to reverse the fall of man (i.e. before Eve was thrown out of the Garden of Eden), but at the same time allowing the natural sensuality of the model to reveal itself.
Most of my landscape nudes are shot in Cumbria, County Durham and Northumberland in northernmost England (The Lake District being my favourite place!). I also shoot in Almeria, Spain, twice a year.
