As you can tell from my portfolio, I love black and white imagery. Something nostalgic and straightforward about it. I started when I picked up a camera in high school and worked on the school newspaper and annual. From there I kept shooting basically to see what sporting events I could get into for free. College football and basketball, NCAA tournaments and a stint shooting NASCAR for several years for various publications and tracks. All the while I had been interested in fashion and figurative photography, trying to emulate my favorite photographers in doing doing so. The strength of the female form of Helmut Newton, the studio lighting of Robert Mapplethorpe,and the outdoor images and poses of Herb Ritts, to name a few. Always looking for new faces and figures.
