Early in his career Norm worked with Nelvana Ltd, a provider of quality entertainment. He built their special services facility BearSpots that focused onproduction for advertising agencies. During his prolific career Norm worked with Mammoth Pictures, and Keen Pictures. Both companies focused on vfx and animation both supporting the advertising sector. In 1992 Norm founded SPIN VFX, a company providing animation and vfx for the advertising industry. He later extended those services to the television and film market. Titles that Norm has been involved in include: The Devil and Daniel Mouse (Nelvana TV special), Rock 'n' Rule (a Nelvana Feature and animation cult classic) Cyberworld 3-D (co-produced with IMAX), Beat Freaks (animated series development), Fugget About It (animated series development), Outlander (co-produced with Ascendant Pictures for the Weinstein Company). More recently, Norm has developed several titles for the social and mobile gaming markets. In the present, Norm is a producer with Trixter Canada, a boutique VFX and animation company with a focus toward VFX and animation production.
His interest in VFX has proven to establish a keen interest in photography.
Norm has a vision that is sought in the entertainment industry for its clarity and purpose. He brought to the team an artistic story aesthetic that reaches out and connects with people. He hopes that this same vision is delivered to his clients and collectors of his photography.
