about Live Life

Male

I started my working life as an engineer in the Oil business. Whilst onboard the super tanker, the Esso Caledonia, somewhere in the middle of the Red Sea, I fell in love Photography.

Like most working photographers I assisted rather than studied. I spent 3 years working in London with the great British photographer John Claridge. His studio was above Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club in Soho. He shot everything from Ads for Marlboro cigarettes to portraits of people like Chet Baker. An amazing adventure !

I started my career in photography shooting editorial stories for the Sunday Newspapers. Mainly people and landscapes, from there I drifted into fashion and lifestyle and by quirk of fate ended up where I am today, shooting people and cars, both stills and motion. Working with global brands like Rolls-Royce, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ford, Lincoln, Lexus, Infiniti, Cadillac, Renault and Toyota.

I hope to grow and develop as a human being, re-exploring photography. These days I spend more and more time in my studio and darkroom. It’s more than just a job, it’s given me a way seeing the world around me, it has given me satisfaction in my work and also a means of expression. In some ways it defines who I am.
