Photography has been a part of my life since around 2011, inspired by the landscapes I travelled through and explored from a young age. City life developed an interest in Aviation photography and both landscapes and Aviation were my passions throughout high school and into Uni. In 2016 I was required to help photograph an implied nude concept as part of my photographic studies. It made me feel uncomfortable and nervous, but once the day was over and the finished photos were considered a success by others
the experience helped me realise that nudity is quite harmless!
In and around this time one of my teachers showed the class a behind-the-scenes video of a photoshoot for the Pirelli Calendar. It was quite incredible, well-known, glamorous people revealing themselves in some incredible locations to make these stunning photographs.
Both of these experiences sparked my interest in hoping to combine humans with nature, rather than in a stark studio and in my own way that reflected my morals.
Soon after at 24 years of age, I set myself the goal of creating nude portraits. The purpose of approaching a Nude portrait concept was and still is to push myself beyond my comfort zone, personally and photographically.
I don't believe in creating profit out of nudity or sexualising another human through sexist and outdated photographic choices.
