Wim Hendrik Marc Steynen started photographing female models in 2015. Before he was only taking pictures of buildings when he was traveling, or photos of his friends and family. So it still was a hobby and during several years he did not much shoots. In 2011 he followed 1 year professional photography and succeeded but decided to leave school because he found he could gain more expertise in photo clubs. In 2013 he started his own photo club, first an amazing succes but internal problems did brake up the club but not before Wim met Didier Messens. Didier inspirated Wim to get better as a photographer and helped him to become a professional. Mid 2013 they started working together. At same time Wim was building an impressive Photo Complex called FiveStarBuildng. This building is very important for most of his recent work because Wim is doing lots of workshops, trainings and photoshoots today. In June 2014 Wim published his first book. Domy – the Art of nudes.
At end of the year he had several publications (concert, fashion, glamour and artistic nude photography). End 2014 until mid 2015 he had a break for personal reasons but still he had his first cover in New York and every month new publications. Today Wim and his team are back and ready to show the world what they have done together in 2 years on expo’s, magazines, books etc. Wim is famous for his light but alsof or his communication skills with models. He gives them respect, trust and patient and you can really see in his work models like to work with him. By perfecting their poses and expressions results are stunning. Wim is known as very subborn and never following trends. No he is one of those people who are making trends: themes, locations, styling, light, posing and retouching.
His fans gave him the nicknames “Mr. Light” and “King of Light”. Comparable tof or example Frank Doorhof (“Master of Light”). Only Wim really never use a light meter.
All he is doing, is done of feeling and using his eyes and camera. 2015 must become the year of the Phoenix. Logo of Wim and his team.
