My passion to create has been part of who I am as long as I can remember. I started with a pencil, drawing at the age of two or three, sculpting and painting have also just been second nature. I first learned black and white film photography in middle school and then picked it up again in my early 20s when I purchased a film camera for $50 at a local pawn shop. Through all the artistic mediums, people are what inspires me. Drawing taught me to see faces and bodies as shapes, lines, shadows and highlight, painting taught me to see values in every tone and shade, and sculpting lets you feel every detail and emotion in the expressions and gestures of your subject.I would love to start drawing, painting and sculpting again soon, but through photography I can have the best of each word.
I have a small studio in Virginia Beach and I would love to continue to learn and grow in photography with many of the artists represented here. If you would like to work with me then please let me know and we can arrange it.
