I Am what I AmWho I wish I was.
Born last century in California, raised in Mexico, taking my hometown of Tijuana as my base I grew up with the perfect setting of culture clash and what it means to grow up in a border town. I started drawing and painting at a very young age, mostly sketching and acrylics. But my true passion started flowing once I discovered that I could express my ideas throughout different artforms.
It wasn't until I started high school in San Diego where I found out there was an old Photo Lab, and managed to get my hands on some older but nice equipment. In that same year I got the support of my teachers to start photography and so I studied as much as I could and on my own to get soaked in all that was photography. I could never forget that “Mint condition 1936 Exacta” that I received as a gift from one of my teachers.
As years passed by I became a graphic artist and photographer taking my skills to the real world and worked with an assortment of clients ranging through various styles in commercial photography, weddings, events, concerts, food photography, products and advertising.
Although I have been doing photography for some time now I felt there was something missing. I felt my skills were not being used properly. With that sentiment at hand I dared to push myself to what is now KEVEDOSDESERT.
