about Eric Boutilier-Brown

Male

I am a fine art photographer and teacher living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I currently split my time between teaching photography, and pursuing my own fine art photography. I have been involved with the arts since a very young age, mainly due to my mother's career as an Arts Educator and artist.

I began exploring photography in 1986, and since then have moved through a wide range of processes and experiences to arrive where I am today. Until 2005, I used film cameras, with a focus on large format (4"x5" and 8"x10") and infrared photography (Kodak HIE). In 2002, I began working with digital cameras, initially in colour and black and white, and since 2005, in infrared.
