My Underwater images

Curated by Dpaphoto

Underwater photography can be very challenging but rewarding. The model has to be taught how to work underwater. They cannot hold their breath or they will not be able to stay underwater. I tell them to take a deep breath and blow it our then go under. The model is only under for a short time. The pool bottom must be clean or the model will stir up debris and cloud the water. The images can be surreal . I always look for cool reflections on the surface near the model. Wide angle images work well to capture her entire body. I use a Ewa soft underwater case to my DSLR that also houses my speed lite. I use a shutter speed of 200 with an iso about 200 too. The worst time to work in the pool is midday when the sun is harsh . I get my best images in the morning and early evening. I hope that you like my underwater images which I will be adding to regularly . Always happy to answer questions.
