about Bruce M Walker
I am a Mississauga, Ontario based photographer and artist.
My interest in photography was piqued by 35mm film in the nineteen-seventies and eighties, but the capabilities of modern digital technology rekindled my passion for capturing original images. I am actively exploring portraiture, nude, glamour and fashion creative, still-life and abstract expression.
My work appears in the PDML Photo Annuals 2009 through 2014, the Mississauga Arts Council summer newsletter 2009, and fashion retail window displays for Showcase Design. My work appeared in a juried exhibition of PDML artists at the Scharpenberg Gallery in Chicago, May-June, 2010. I have contributed works to many of the ALFEW exhibits at The Grange House in Mississauga, running frequently since June 2010. I mounted Postmodern Pinups, a solo exhibit, in Toronto's Junction community from May through July, 2012. A piece appeared in Visual Arts Mississauga's 35th Annual Juried Show of Fine Arts at the Art Gallery of Mississauga, January 17 to March 2, 2013.
I am currently developing themed creative portrait, fashion and nude projects and welcome collaborators. I have an on-going project documenting the lifecycle of Fleetwood, Mississauga parkland maintained on a natural watershed.
