Female

My name is Candice Lane, and I have been modeling in the Dallas area for about 2 and a half years now. However, don't let that short time frame fool you - I have accomplished quite a bit in my short time in the industry!

A little backstory on me is that I've always been in the fine arts, but I actually grew up as a classical singer, having begun my training at age 10, and completing my training at age 23. I started performing with the University of North Texas Opera Chorus at age 11, and have performed in multiple musicals and operas - my favorite being the role of Cosette in Les Miserables. When it comes to music, which is still a big part of my life, I now record and release my own studio quality covers (mainly with a classical influence), and I work as a KJ (karaoke host) for Musical Mayhem Productions. I run my own karaoke show on Sunday's in Downtown Dallas during the afternoon and evening.

Modeling has very quickly become one of my greatest passions, but I actually never anticipated it, or even thought about the idea of modeling growing up. Due to ridiculous trauma during my childhood and teenage years, I have suffered from Body Dysmorphia and PTSD from an early age. It's not that I thought I was ugly... it's just that it literally never crossed my mind that I am, or was, anything but average, or "normal". I went to my first photoshoot begrudgingly. I was shooting some boudoir photos with a photographer that I had hired through Thumbtack.com. I assumed that, like always, I would see these photos and immediately hate them. I always excelled at picking out every single flaw in myself. However, due to a very encouraging and complimentary photographer, my mind started wandering to all the concepts that I could explore. When I finally received the edited photos, I was shocked that I actually found myself beautiful! I had NEVER found myself beautiful before. At that moment, I was immediately hooked. Thanks to my wonderful fiance, and a myriad of amazing photographers (who have also become friends), I now see the beauty in myself. My self confidence and self esteem have risen exponentially in a way that is undeniable. Over the last two and a half years I've kept myself very busy - always practicing.
I average at least 1 photoshoot a week for about the last two years. At last count, I have worked with over 45 or 50 different photographers, and have modeled in over 60ish shoots. If you'd care to check out my other portfolio, hosted on Model Mayhem, you will also see that I have over 20 very positive Verified Credits from photographers on the site.

I most enjoy photography that tells a story, and is conceptual. If the photo evokes a response (whether it be emotional, or a question, or whatever) - I feel like I am doing my job right. As of now, I model a lot of fashion - Pinup being my favorite - , boudoir, Implied/nude, and cosplay, but I'm always happy to discuss/consider any theme or concept idea.

When it comes to cosplay, my main character is Princess Ariel (the Little Mermaid). I own 3 professional stage-quality costumes for Ariel, including her Pink Ballgown, her blue Kiss the Girl dress, and the classic Mermaid tail/bra top combo. I also have some fun props including a ornate "dinglehopper", and a custom made "snarfblat"! My next most popular character is Raven from the Teen Titans. I am able to play both Classic Raven, as well as White Raven. I very much love Raven because she is quiet, solitary, and, often times, misunderstood. I am also in the process of putting together costumes for both Princess Bubblegum and Marceline from the animated show, Adventure Time.

Thus far, I have been published in Elan Vital Magazine's July 2018 issue and Kultur Magazine's August 2018, and I am slated to appear in Kultur Magazine's November 2018 issue. I also was just recently hired as a staff affiliate model for Elan Vital Magazine.

My ultimate goal is to be able to fully support myself by doing the things that I love most - modeling and singing. I simply want to be able to make thought provoking, beautiful art.

I am currently taking TFP assignments on a case-by-case basis, depending on the concept. Please contact me to discuss my rates, as well as any concept or theme ideas! I'm looking to work with any photographer who values concept and story, and would like to create something magnificent!
