Male
I’m George Jennings, a fine art painter specializing in contemporary portraits in oil, acrylic and graphite mediums. I focus my artwork primarily on depicting the female form featuring a variety of ethnicities and cultures. This is very important to me because that’s the way that I want to see my world and in my opinion diversity has been underrepresented in our society not just in the art realm. So for me, it’s not just about one model, it’s about creating an all encompassing, a diverse series of paintings that include all ethnic groups, all styles and several influences. I was first introduced to the world of art by my grandfather, the late John N. Robinson, an accomplished artist in his own right. During my summers off from school, my grandfather would teach me, my sister and all of my cousins the fundamentals of art. I later developed a strong interest and love for art that led me to attend the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and enter various art competitions while growing up in my hometown of Washington, D.C. Since the late 1990’s I have been creating and showcasing my artwork at various group art exhibits, solo shows, art fairs and art competitions in and around my home of the past 15 years, Seattle, Washington. Together, my wife and I are working to introduce my work to as many people as possible locally and abroad.
lovely work
You have a very nice mix of figurative and illustrative design elements.
Amazing work! I love Alphonse Mucha's style, and the way you've blended it with your own unique style and color palette is quite stunning.
I'm so happy to see your work here. I love the areas of pattern and flat color... contrasted against the highly rendered areas. You balance these things beautifully!
