Herschel Zahnd is a Director, Editor, Cinematographer, Photographer, Producer, Writer, and Actor; and thats just on Monday. With hundreds of projects under his belt on both sides of the stage and screen, Herschel is the epitome of the kid that didn’t know what he wanted to be when he grew up; so he decided to do it all. In 2005 Girl Number Three became Herschel’s first feature film as a director, cinematographer, producer and editor. Renegade Art Productions, LLC; Herschel’s Production Company, has since produced, dozens of commercials, music videos, short films, documentaries, and TV pilots all over the world. His most recent project, DER VERTRAG, starring Vernon Wells, premiered in 2017 and is currently in development for further production. He returned to stage directing in 2017 with the Alley Theaters production of Reefer Maddness the musical and to Stage Acting in 2018 as British talk show host David Frost in FROST/NIXON. Herschel resides in Jeffersonville, IN with his wife Mary Ellen and their many rescue animals. Herschel, really interesting work and thanks for sharing so much with us. I immediately found some very interesting image work that spoke to me of my past in commercial advertising and at the same time illustrated and amazing capability for concept, visual acuity, and creativity.
