If there's a high profile event with colourfully painted performers, zombies, cirque characters or aliens running around, it's likely that it's been created by the 'lady Picasso' of the bodyart scene in Cape Town, Jeanne-Mare Raubenheimer aka Jim. Jim as been a multimedia artist, specialising in SFX make-up and bodyart in our film and media industries for just on ten years now, and her client list is studded with big hitter including Adidas, Ministry of Sound, The Side show, Haezer, Trinity club, Coca Cola, Cosmo, Playboy, B&W mode, Disney, Saatchi&Saatchi and SA breweries. She has travelled internationally to to make-up at various festivals and events around the world, including Glade and Glastonbury festival,and the Synergy Project. She has worked for many high profile companies globally like Framestore and TBWA and various production houses like Egg, Atomic Pictures or Fly on the Wall. This past year alone Jim has shown off her artistic designs at some major events in her mothercity Cape Town: the Fez NYE event, the Cape Town Tattoo convention, the JB met, Design Indaba launchparty, Cosmo Jeans fashion launch, The Loeries awards and the Playboy magazine launch. She has also painted for the Suit Supply 'like skin' campaign and co-produced her own bodypainting theatre show, The Bodycircus. She has also worked on various film projects doing art directing or sfx make-up lke Zombie1 and Pumzi. Jim also competes anually in the world bodypainting competition in austira, with her current world rank being 8th place in special effects and bodypainting.
